Meet Our Team

Our exceptionally professional and friendly support staff is one of our office’s greatest assets. We have the highest standard of quality and integrity and are excited and motivated to achieve the best results possible for our family of patients. Through our serious commitment to continuing education, we are dedication to staying up to date in the latest techniques and technologies.

We are certified by the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) as well as x-ray certified by the State Board of Dentistry. As a group, we have taken many hours of continuing education and are all certified in CPR by the American Heart Association. Our staff meets briefly each morning to coordinate the day’s activities in order to provide our patients with optimal care from the time they arrive at our office to the time they leave. We consider each patient as part of our away-from-home family and strive to provide them with the same conscientious care that we would provide to members of our own immediate family.

Aksia

Hi, my name is Aksia and I am a Certified Dental Assistant who attended Delaware Valley Academy. I am experienced in all aspects of dental treatment and assist Dr. Shulman with patient care. I can help answer any of your questions about improving your smile and how we can help you keep your natural teeth for the rest of your life. I enjoy my work and being part of a warm and friendly team that really works well together. I am married and have a young daughter.

Christine

Hi, my name is Christine and I am a Certified Dental Hygienist. I attended the Community College of Philadelphia. I have worked with Dr. Shulman for over 10 years. I am passionate about dentistry and knowledgeable in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease. I love my job in the dental field and enjoy helping and educating our patients. Being able to see the improvement in our patient’s dental health gives me a strong feeling of accomplishment. When not working, I enjoy spending family time with my husband, son and two daughters.

Joy

Hello, my name is Joy and I have over 20 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene and have worked in cosmetic/restorative dental offices ever since. I focus on providing the best in patient care by utilizing my professional knowledge, gentle techniques and innovative dental hygiene products. I take pride in knowing that my hygiene services play an important role in the overall health of our patients. I am married and have two sons.

Kim

Hello my name is Kim and I have been working as a dental scheduling coordinator for over 10 years. I enjoys working with people and am passionate about helping them have a great dental experience. I frequently attend and enjoy continuing education courses, and am always seeking ways to better serve my patients. I have been married to my husband, Bill since 1992 and have three wonderful children, Amanda, Taylor and Phillip. In my spare time I loves to read, garden, volunteer at my church and watch the Phillies.

Lauren

Hello, my name is Lauren. I graduated from Delaware Valley Academy as a certified dental assistant in November of 2011. I am also licensed to take x-rays. While in school I did my internship here at Dr. Shulman’s office and was very pleased when I was offered a position as dental assistant. Having a part in making our patients’ smiles brighter is an amazing feeling and makes me very proud of my career. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my baby girl.

Ruth

Hi, my name is Ruth and I am an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). This means that I am trained and licensed to make temporary crowns and fill cavities. I have taken many continuing education courses and have worked with Dr. Shulman for over 20 years. I am also fluent in Spanish. It is very exciting being part of a team that works towards the patient’s goal of enhancing and perfecting their smile. I’m amazed at how far some patient’s come…from never even wanting to smile, to having a gorgeous smile and the confidence that comes with it. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the movies. I am married and have a teenage son.
