A Philadelphia native raised in Southampton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Joseph Lutz is proud to care for patients in the community he has always called home. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Pittsburgh before returning to Philadelphia to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry.
Dr. Lutz believes exceptional dentistry begins with trust and a genuine personal connection. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, and individual needs, creating a comfortable experience and a treatment plan designed specifically for them. His goal is to build lasting relationships with his patients and care for them with the same attention and compassion he would provide to a close friend or family member.
Committed to continually advancing his clinical skills, Dr. Lutz regularly pursues continuing education and remains current with the latest dental technology, materials, and treatment techniques. He has completed extensive hands-on training in dental implant placement and bone grafting through Implant Pathway, a comprehensive implant education program focused on surgical planning and clinical experience.
Dr. Lutz also has extensive experience with Invisalign clear aligner therapy, having treated more than 100 cases. Through advanced education and ongoing mentorship with Molis Coaching, he continues to refine his approach to case selection, treatment planning, and predictable orthodontic outcomes.
With particular interests in implant, cosmetic, restorative, and comprehensive dentistry, Dr. Lutz enjoys helping patients improve the health, function, and appearance of their smiles.
Outside the office, Dr. Lutz enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart and wife, Samantha, their daughter, Hayden, and their loving pitbull, George. He is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and also enjoys exploring new restaurants, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
